What to expect

Describe the order picker and the picking operation

Order pickers bring an operator to picking positions, so a platform concern is not simply a pallet-lifting complaint. Identify the machine and describe the original lift or travel interruption. State its current position and whether the request involves an occupied or elevated platform; routine repair intake is not an emergency rescue service.

For order picker service, existing operator reports can distinguish a platform-lift problem from travel, steering or a control message. Do not try alternate control combinations, bypass a platform safeguard or operate the picker again to fill gaps in the report.

How on-site service works

Platform lift operation

Describe raising or lowering behaviour already observed and the platform position when work stopped. No elevated inspection is needed for the enquiry.

Operator controls and travel

Note which command did not respond and any existing display message. Include whether travel or steering was separately affected.

Battery and shift history

If the concern followed a charge or a change in operating time, add the known charging history without assuming it caused a platform fault.

How it works

Preparing for order picker repair

For order picker troubleshooting, share the equipment identifier, whether platform lift or travel was affected, the last displayed message and current platform position. Include the facility contact and relevant access restrictions. Use records already available, not tests of the platform controls.

  1. 01

    Identify the interrupted picking task

Describe the platform or travel event from the original operator account.

  2. 02

    Share position and equipment details

Provide the model, current machine position and access contact without attempting movement.

  3. 03

    Discuss assessment before scheduling

Service scope and access requirements are reviewed before an attendance arrangement is confirmed.

FAQs

Order Picker Repair: questions before service

Is this for an order picker or a reach truck?

An order picker enquiry concerns the picking machine and its operator platform. A reach truck enquiry focuses on the truck and its reach/mast functions. If the name is uncertain, send the model identifier rather than choosing from appearance alone.

Why ask about the platform position?

It helps explain the current situation and access discussion. Report what is already known; do not move the platform to obtain a height or test its response. An occupied or elevated-platform emergency must not wait for an ordinary repair enquiry.

The platform control shows a message. Should I clear it?

Copy the message as already displayed and include the model. Clearing messages or changing control settings is not required to request service and can remove useful context. The code alone does not confirm the failed component.

Does a charging complaint need a separate request?

No. Include the charging behaviour alongside the picker symptoms in one enquiry, with known battery and charger details. Explain which observations happened before the picking interruption so they are not treated as an assumed cause.

Can you certify the order picker after repair?

No statutory inspection or certification offering is established here. This is a repair enquiry. If you need a separate inspection or documented compliance service, specify that requirement before assuming it is included in the work.
